This collaborative fine art showing between Alexander Rouse and Bella Bishara summarized their year in the Brandon Fellowship for emerging artists at Greenville Center for Creative Arts. Held in GCCA’s Main Gallery in August 2025, this exhibition saw two creatively diverse artists converge around a single question: what are we to do with the histories we carry? Bishara utilized vibrant acrylic painting, crochet elements, and installation to ruminate on her experiences within the Coptic Orthodox Church. Rouse produced a body of work which was weathered and built on materiality; large watercolor works, cyanotype, assemblage, and bone pyrography. His work centered the American South, unpacking themes of inheritance, faith, and identity.
